SETUP BIOS

To enter the BIOS Setup allows yourself to form important options. There there are defined aspects as basic as the load of Windows or of the hardware. To accede to the BIOS it is in the habit of being enough touching a certain key rightly when it starts the PC. But this key changes from a few cases to others

 To enter the BIOS:

It is necessary to be rapid enough to obtain it. The better thing is that you read all this section before trying it. This way you will know in advance what waits for you.
 1.turn off your computer if have it on. then turn on again.


 2. You will see one of these two things while it starts your PC: a logo of the manufacturer or a text that spends very fast (the POST of the BIOS). It sees the image. 
    
     In both cases you must locate a line of text of the style of:

-Press [tecla] to run Setup
-Hit [tecla] to run Setup
-Press [tecla] to enter Setup
-Press [tecla] for SETUP
-[tecla]= Setup o Setup= [tecla]
-Press [tecla] to enter BIOS Setup
-Press [tecla] to access system configuration

    or the shortcuts

-Del or Supr
-F2 (habitual in laptops)
-F1
-F10
-Ctrl+Alt+Esc 
-Ctrl+Alt+Enter

  3.When you know the correct key, touch it on having started the PC, after Press [key] appear to run Setup or the text that corresponds.

 If Windows starts being loaded already you will not be able to enter and to restart the PC to return to try it. You will have to be more rapid this time. 

You will know that everything has run well on having seen the principal screen of the BIOS Setup (image of the right).

  ¿How many types of chips for the BIOS exist?

2 types exist:

--Those of the type EEPROM: (Electrical Erasable and Programmable Read-Only Memory)
That it means, memory of just reading that I could erase and is more, can be programmed electrically.

--The EEPROM Flash ROM: these types of chips appear about the appearance of the model of processor Pentium, and they have the great advantage, of which Software can be updated by means of a program.

the BIOS is a small program that uses as link between the hardware of the machine and the operating sistem .Inside the BIOS we find the SETUP or program of configuration of the system on whicch the general performance of the computer depends very much

In another words the BIOS is the program to takes charge checking everything what is connected in the plate mother of the pc, and to check that all is well.
